Stokemill Data is passionate about helping our clients selectively grow their overseas' client base while focusing on the more profitable accounts.

Stokemill Data started its activities back in 2012 from Bristol as a specialist B2B market research and strategic market consultancy advising international food and food ingredient companies, large cooperatives, and a government agency under the tradename MSB Agrifood. In 2022 it changed its name to focus on providing custom B2B information and business introduction services to a larger array of sectors. Stokemill Data has a large and diversified address book and has developed effective business research methodologies specific to export markets that enable it to deliver trusted and effective outcomes.

Today Stokemill Data supplies high powered business information and a personalised matchmaking service between buyers (end users) and sellers (exporters). All our projects are specifically tailored to our clients' requirements and are intended to help our clients diversify into new export segments, get a foothold into new countries or explore new industrial applications. Stokemill Data puts integrity at the core of everything we do and produces personally and extensively verified intelligence that is reliable, timely and actionable. We focus on identifying and to the extent possible, ascertaining demand for our clients' products on export markets via personally collected and rigorously checked intelligence. Next we match people, products, applications and markets and help create the right conditions leading to successful transactions at an acceptable cost to our clients.


Stokemill's founder has a solid background in the food ingredients, additives and technologies used in food & drinks processing globally as well as in non food applications such as cosmetics, paper manufacturing or pharmaceuticals (eg excipients); he gained extensive knowledge of food markets, is a full chain dairy and meat consultant in Europe and Americas markets; his skill set includes b2b market sizing across entire regions, industrial segmentation, macroeconomic analysis, distribution channels analysis, international event production and sponsorship management, buyer search, price intelligence projects and menu innovation for QSR leaders; his market and commercial expertise has more recently extended to bioethanol, biodiesel and biogas raw materials and by-products such as DDGS or glycerol; he has brokered deals in grain ethanol in bulk for use in chemical, medical, technical, fragrances, cosmetics and drinks sectors and has a good understanding of agricultural commodities and by-products, organic waste & bioenergy markets, compound feed, or fruits, vegetables and tubers. Combined with working experiences in bio-therapeutics production, R&D, sales and marketing in the biotechnology and medical diagnostics industries, he's versatile and comfortable developing new insights and starting projects into new sectors and markets. Recently he's trained to kickstart the SEO effort (digital marketing) at Stokemill and writes about those overseas markets, technologies and industries he's had a hand in (see Stokemill Data's blog). He has a BS in biology and a MSc in biotechnology from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and a MBA from SDA Bocconi (Milan, Italy). He's multilingual and passionate about languages and culture, but far from complacent: mastering languages requires hard work and much persistence.
